Peter Achieves Honorary Life Membership

Honorary Life Membership is the highest award of appreciation from Enable Scotland, and is awarded to those who have made a particularly notable contribution to the organisation, and to the welfare of people with learning disability and their carers over a prolonged period of time.  We were delighted to learn in November that Enable Glasgow member Peter McMahon had received this accolade.

Peter Honorary Life Member

Peter has been an extremely effective advocate for the rights of people with learning disabilities in Scotland over many years.  The three films he made regarding the effects of bullying on people with learning disabilities were truly groundbreaking, and since then, he has been a very influential self-advocate and campaigner.    He is also involved in many community causes in his local area and more widely in Glasgow. Many congratulations to Peter on his achievement – it’s well deserved.
