Campaigning Against Care Charges

 Personal charges for social care have risen sharply in recent years, causing real hardship to many people who rely on social care services.  There also seem to be many inconsistencies in how charges are applied in different parts of the country, and in how much people are expected to pay for care from their welfare benefits.

 We think this is unfair, and are part of the campaign to end charges for non-residential social care charges.  The Government has said it will end these charges before the end of the current parliament – we thin k that this needs to be looked at now.
